Travelogue: Coron, Palawan (Part I)

Been a long time since i made a post, i was soo busy with work! I was so happy i was able to get a break from it last week during our long weekend, because finally i will be able to go to one of my dream vacations - Coron, Palawan, Philippines! :)

One thing i love most is travelling! I just enjoy going and experiencing a lot of places and of course take pictures! This will be a long post but just let me share with you all this magnificent treasure here in the Philippines!

CORON, PALAWAN

First day of our trip was spent on island hopping. We went to: Kayangan Lake, Twin Lagoon and Siete Picados (or Seven Islands).

Next stop, Twin Lagoon, where we did a lot of snorkelling!

Last stop, Siete Picados. Current was so strong but we were able to see a lot of fishes here!

The day was soooo tiring but was worth it!

Outfit of the Day: Of Denims and Ruffles

When i feel like dressing up for work, i first find a piece i know i want to wear, whether a top, shoes, bag or even an accessory, then from there i complete an outfit. For this day, i decided to go for my Antoni+Autima polo. I so love its ruffled details - forming a rosette just right below the collar :)

cute ruffles!!

Because the details have blue stitches, i thought i would look great with my vintage full denim skirt. Add on a Nine to Five gold-buckled belt and brown high-heeled shoes, I am ready for a day's work! :)

Outfit of the Day: Palazzo!

"Ohh you're wearing a dress!"
"Nope!"
"Is that a skirt??"
"Nope! They're pants!"

Palazzo trousers to be exact! I have to admit that i've never heard of trousers called Palazzo, 'till my mom showed this great find to me! The minute i saw it, "I WANT!!!". They are wide legged and usually made of soft and flowing fabric. The waistband is also wide for supportive fit and sits comfortably on your waist. They are usually long that will flatter your legs ;) I was lucky mine came with this fabulous vintage print!

printed palazzo trousers, Old navy white tee, Charles and Keith platforms

I paired mine with a plain white tee but these trousers will also look great with a tank top! Add-on a funky necklace and you're set for a night out with friends! Now i know why The Glamourai love love these slacks!

They are definitely the MOST comfortable and chic pants you'll ever have! :)

Movie Review: Harry Potter and Half Blood Prince

I had so much expectations from this film, play date was moved so i thought they are definitely gonna make this one big. But boy was i so disappointed. :(

Book 6 is actually my favorite Harry Potter book because it has so much in it. Now i know movie versions of books tend to scrimp on some scenes and details, but what they did in this movie was beyond that. It was boring - perhaps 5-minute of excitement is all you're gonna get. Sure you'll find some parts amusing, but they are irrelevant as well. Cheesy and pathetic even! Yes, acting of the main characters have improved but again in a fantasy movie, you tend to bypass acting. Graphic effects... again it was only shown on some parts, i do like the scene when Harry and Dumbledore are getting the potential Horcrux and the short scene on Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes (cute shop!), other than that.. zzzz. I was so looking forward the action scenes in Hogwarts after the long blah blah, but nope they did not give that :(

Another thing i didn't like on this movie is how they TRIED to just put bits and pieces of information together. As i said, there's a loot of information in Book 6, and the movie tried to cover them in short scenes, which did not help in letting the non-readers get the whole picture. Some scenes tend to make the non-reader think "What is the scene for?". Editing is another key factor that failed on this movie.

It's so ironic that in movies i liked Order of the Phoenix better when it is actually my least favorite HP book. Harry Potter team should definitely be all-out on their last movie - even if would mean having to split it into two movies!
